Obituary of Jean Reveal

Jean Lois (Henderson) Reveal, 92, a longtime Burlington resident and a fiercely independent woman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 after a period of declining health.

She was born in Nashua, NH the daughter of the late Richard W. and Irene (Meuse) Henderson. She was educated in parochial school  and attended nursing school, after her children were grown.  She earned her licensed practical nurse degree, fulfilling one of her life long dreams. For many years Jean was employed as a registered nurse at the Winchester Hospital.

While not at work, Jean enjoyed traveling, word puzzles, and spending time with her beloved family. . Cruises were her favorite way to see all the world had to offer and she enjoyed traveling to many places.. She also was able to take many recreational vehicle trips across the USA with her family, stopping along the way to take in the scenery and National Parks. She was a devout catholic who held faith in high regard and was a communicant at St. Margaret Church in Burlington since the 1960’s after she moved to Burlington MA..

During her retirement she continued to stay active and worked as a volunteer at Lahey Hospital and enjoyed puzzles and visiting with her family in her free time.

She was the wife of the late Charles A. Reveal who passed away in 1995 and the sister of the late Lee Henderson, Richard Henderson, Marion Gonsalves and Claire Codagnone Hiney.

Jean is survived by her loving children, Richard L. Reveal and his wife Carol French of Wolfboro, NH, Lois E. Burridge and her husband Michael of Blue Ridge, GA, Charles A. Reveal and his wife Teresa of Layon, UT, Irene C. Giblin and her husband John of Methuen, MA, and Claire A. Arsenault and her husband Robert of Burlington, 11 grandchildren: Richard Reveal, Jason Reveal, Brian Reveal, John Budoski, Victoria Budoski, Samuel Holmes, Holly Reveal, Alyssa Arsenault, Max Arsenault, Kate Arsenault, Ben Arsenault, as well as several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 26, at 10am at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St. Burlington.  Please meet at the church. Her burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington.
