Robert William Desautels, a devoted husband and passionate traveler, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Lahey Clinic and Medical Center in Burlington. He was born in Marlborough the son of the late William and Amelia M. (Barons). He was educated in the Hudson School System and graduated from Hudson High School before starting down his career path that led him to become an insurance agent for John Hancock Insurance. He was very well respected at John Hancock and very well received by his clients. He liked to spend time connecting and making sure people felt cared about.

Robert found joy in exploring destinations with his wife, they enjoyed Florida, Aruba, the western landscapes, Canada and the serene summers of Kennebunk, Maine. His gentle spirit, sweet demeanor and quiet strength defined him and made him an excellent husband to Orise (Petit) Desautels; the two were wed in 1970 and not a day went by that Robert's warmth and kindness was not expressed towards Orise.

He is survived by his loving wife Orise of Burlington, a brother-in-law, Ronald Petit of Lynn, MA as well as many friends and traveling acquaintances.
