Obituary

Rachel Sara Misner, a loving wife and daughter, passed away at the age of 39 on July 11, 2023 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Rachel was born to Alan Misner and Carolyn Silva in Lowell and grew up doing karate and playing softball in Lawrence. She was passionate about finding creative solutions and a lifelong learner. She attended Whittier Tech in Haverhill, New England Institute of Arts in Boston, and received a Master of Business Degree from Fitchburg State University.

Rachel loved to play guitar, ukulele, and piano. She was a pro at Grand Theft Auto 5 and could often be found cuddled on the couch with her late poodle King Louis J. Berger or her cats Aria and Willa, reading a Stephen King novel or watching a scary movie. Rachel had the ability to light up any room she entered. Her amiable personality allowed her to make friends wherever she lived, whether it be Boston, Los Angeles, or Austin. Rachel will be remembered for her acts of kindness, quick wit, and resilience.  She touched the lives of many, and will be deeply missed.

Rachel was the loving wife of Kaity Misner of Fitchburg, MA. She was the beloved daughter to the late Alan Misner, Carolyn Silva, and her husband Russell Silva of Lawrence. She was the dear sister to Jeffrey Misner and his wife Caitlin O'Brien of Groton, Craig Misner of Boston, and Debbie Spears of Santa Monica, CA. She was the caring aunt to Benjamin Misner and Jacob Misner. She was an adored niece to Patti Low of Belmont, ME, Cathy Blais of Pelham, NH, Julie Hanson of Lowell, MA, Joyce McCormick of Tyngsboro, MA, and Julie Hanson of Lowell, MA.
