Laurene "Renee" M. Caton, loving wife to the late Herbert "Herb" Caton and beloved aunt to many, passed away on Monday morning, May 13, 2024.  She was 91 years old, born in Boston, and the only child born to Robert and Lillian Cowen.  Renee grew up and was educated in West Roxbury and earned a degree at Chamberlayne Junior College.  She then worked as an administrative assistant at Raytheon, Mad Maggies Health Club, and retired from SBLI.

Renee met her husband Herb at a local dance club.  They married in 1970 when she was 37 years old. They settled in Billerica where she resided until 2019.  They embraced life together and made the most of their years.  They enjoyed the glamour of cruises, visiting different destinations, the shows, getting all dressed up for dinner, and all the activities.

Renee was a dear friend to Barbara and Joe Caira of Burlington, Lillian Doogan of West Roxbury, and Joan Rizza of Florida. She was also survived by many adopted nieces and nephews. They remember her cheerful disposition, silly antics, and the love and kindness she shared with them all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Church in St. Veronica Parish, www.stveronicama.org , 111 Winn St., Burlington on Thursday, May 16 at 11:30 a.m.  Renee will then be laid to rest next to her beloved Herb following the funeral mass at Forest Hill Cemetery in Boston.
