Kelly Ann McDermott, of Hyde Park, passed away from health complications on April 20, 2023 at the age of 56. Kelly was born to her parents Marvin and Marilyn McDermott in Medford, MA. Kelly grew up in Burlington, and graduated from Burlington high school. Kelly's mom was one of 10, so there were always cousins to hang out with growing up and she was always close to her aunts and uncles. Kelly had recently been living with her Aunt Barbara.

Kelly's greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She was so supportive of Anthony and Anthony Jr. Anthony Jr. was also so happy to see his grammy at his football and hockey games. He cherished time with his grammy, from going to movies to shopping, spending time at the Burlington and the Pheasant Lane Malls. When the boys didn't have any games for Kelly to cheer at, she loved to spend time at the beach. Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester was a favorite of hers, but she was happy on any beach. She would love to walk the shores or even just lay out and catch some sunshine. Back at home, Kelly was a proud pet mom. She took care of cats and dogs, who brought her so much joy.

Kelly was the proud mother of Anthony Cierri and his wife Heather of Billerica. She was the loving grandmother to Anthony Jr. of Billerica. She was the dear sister to Kimberly McDermott and Brian McDermott of Dartmouth. Kelly was the beloved aunt to Brian Jr., Derek, and Taylor McDermott. She'll also be dearly missed by many more cousins, aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 26, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Following the visitation, a memorial service for Kelly will be held at the funeral home at 12:30 PM.
