It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph F. McHugh of Burlington, Massachusetts, born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 75.

Joe grew up Jamaica Plain, the son of Joseph and Delia McHugh.  He was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Suffolk University.  Joe enjoyed a long and successful career at Spectra Energy Corporation.

Predeceased by his beloved son, Jonathan.  He was the brother of the late Maureen Murphy and the brother-in-law of Francis Murphy of South Easton.  He was the proud uncle of Susanne Malloy of Hingham and Christine Murphy of North Easton.  He was the great uncle of Alex, Ava and Will Malloy.

Joe will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him.  Family and friends are invited to leave their condolences on this memorial page.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 97 South Street, Jamaica Plain on Saturday, December 17 at 10 a.m.  Services will conclude with a burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
