Joaopaulo Dossantos Augusto, a Burlington High School graduate and roofer, passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 22. Joaopaulo was born to his parents Edgard and Claudia in Pancas Santo Brazil, before moving to the United States. Family was everything to Joaopaulo. He loved spending time with his family, his mom and dad, sister and half-siblings, and often dreamed of starting his own family some day. He went to work after high school for his close friends company as a roofer. Joaopaulo was a proud Christian, playing in the Assembly of God's band as their drummer for seven years.

Joaopaulo was always the center of attention with his friends. He loved to play soccer with them and just get outside. He will be remembered for always having a great sense of humor and an enormous heart. While it is heartbreaking to say goodbye, the family takes solace in knowing that Joaopaulo is in a better place.

Joaopaulo was the beloved son of Edgard Paulo Augusto of Burlington and Claudia Dos Santos of Brazil. He was the loving brother of Anna Paula Dos Santos Augusto and her husband Fernando of Billerica, and Joaopaulo's half-brother Joao Victor Nicodemos Augusto of Fort Pierce, Florida.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 7:30 PM on Wednesday following the visitation. On Thursday, October 12, at 9:00 AM, friends and family members are invited to gather at the Sullivan Funeral home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01803, before preceding to the graveside services at Pine Haven Cemetery, 84 Bedford Street, Burlington, MA 01803, which will begin at 10:00 AM.
