Obituary

Jean (Harrington) Frazier, 86, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 2nd.

Born in Medford, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Walter P. and Mary (Delaney) Harrington. Raised among a close-knit family, she carried the values of loyalty, hard work, and love of family with her throughout her life.

Jean's greatest love story began at the age of thirteen when she met her future husband, Stephen Frazier. The two were neighbors growing up and quickly became inseparable. At nineteen years old, Jean married the love of her life, beginning a partnership that would span decades and serve as an example of unwavering devotion to all who knew them. Their love was evident in every chapter of their lives together, and two years after their marriage they welcomed their first child, eventually building a beautiful family with four children.

Jean was an amazing mother whose parenting style perfectly balanced friendship and guidance. Never overly strict, she created a home filled with love, laughter, and understanding. Her children always knew they were supported, and her door and heart were forever open to them and their friends.

Together with Stephen, Jean co-founded and operated Frazier Sheet Metal in Wilmington. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence, they built a successful family business that remains a source of pride today. Their legacy continues through their sons, who proudly carry on the company and the values upon which it was founded.

Jean possessed a quick wit and an unforgettable personality. She was known for her brutally honest observations, her limited filter, and her ability to lovingly razz just about anyone. She had a gift for making people laugh and reminding them not to take life too seriously. Whether discussing local happenings, current events, or the latest trends, Jean always stayed informed and enjoyed sharing her opinions with those around her.

Travel brought Jean and Steve great joy throughout their marriage. Together they explored many destinations, enjoying numerous European cruises and memorable trips to Alaska and Italy. Many of these adventures were made even more special when shared with her siblings, creating treasured memories that would last a lifetime.

Of all the places Jean loved, none compared to the family's cherished lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee. It was there, surrounded by family, laughter, and beautiful views, that some of her happiest moments were spent. Whether welcoming guests to the lake house during the summer or opening her Florida home during the winter months, Jean had a remarkable talent for making everyone feel comfortable, cared for, and completely at home.

Above all else, Jean adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being "Nana" was one of her greatest joys. Shopping trips were practically mandatory whenever they were together, often followed by a special treat, perhaps a half-pint of vanilla Häagen-Dazs shared with love. The memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

Sadly Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Stephen in 2014, and her brother, Robert Harrington

She is survived by her loving children, Stephen Frazier and his wife Lori of Sandown, NH., Mark Frazier and his wife Kathy of Tewksbury, MA., Paul Frazier and his wife Susan of Salem, NH., and Christine Otis and her husband Doug of Woburn, MA., her siblings, Rita Boudreau and Tim Harrington, a sister in law, Gwen Frazier, 11 adoring grandchildren, Sean, Justin, Michelle, Michael, Timothy, Allison, Meredith, Kenneth, Brian, Alexander, and Samantha,12 great grandchildren and one more on the way, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visiting hours on Monday, June 8th from 4pm to 7pm at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home 43 Winn St., Burlington. Her funeral service will start from the funeral home at 9am on Tuesday June 9th, with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10am at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St. Burlington.
