Greg Derderian, 72, of Boston, MA, peacefully passed away after a long battle with kidney failure at Mass General Hospital on June 23, 2024.

Greg was born in Boston to Peter and Valentine Derderian and spent his early years in the Watertown housing projects, later moving to Burlington, MA for the remainder of his childhood.

Greg attended Burlington High School before earning bachelor's degrees in both biology and chemistry at Bridgewater State College. Following that, he earned a third bachelor's degree in philosophy from Framingham State College and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. As an electrical engineer, Greg started his own consulting firm, Dipole Engineering, and worked on many government projects during his career. His last major accomplishment was the work he did on the James Webb telescope before falling ill.

Greg was a loving husband to Rhonda, father to Ann, Monica, Jeff and Caia, Grandfather to Ava and Gavin, brother to Armand and Rodney. He will be sorely missed by family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. James Armenian Church of Watertown at 10am, on July 20th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund. Arrangements are by the Hamel-Lydon Chapel in Quincy.
