Edward
Salvato
June 12, 1945 – March 3, 2024
Edward "Eddie" Salvato passed away peacefully at home on Sunday March 3, 2024, surrounded by his immediate family. He was 78 Years old. Eddie was born in Revere on June 12, 1945. He was the son of the Late Salvatore C. Salvato and Stella V. Salvato (Leo) of Burlington. Eddie was the beloved husband of Dorothy "Dottie" Salvato of Burlington. He was the loving father of Michael Salvato and his wife Dannielle of Nashua, NH, Lisa Salvato of Billerica, and Edward Salvato and his wife Wendi of Burlington. He was the proud Grampy to Jacob Burrill, Nicholas Salvato, Nicole Salvato, Stephanie Cane, Matthew Salvato and Michael Cane. He was the older brother of the late Robert V. Salvato and his wife Lorraine Salvato of Burlington.
Eddie lived a life marked by love, adventure and loved to laugh. From the moment he met Dottie, at the tender age of 16, Eddie knew he had found his lifelong partner. Their love story is one for the ages, culminating in a 58-year marriage that was as devoted as it was enduring. Eddie's commitment to their union was symbolized early on when he sold his cherished motorcycle to buy Dottie a diamond ring—a testament to his selflessness and deep affection for her.
Eddie and Dottie's journey together was blessed with three children: Michael, Lisa and Ed. As a family, they shared a love for the outdoors, especially camping. Their adventures took them across many state campgrounds in their beloved RV, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Eddies sacred place was by the grill and was also where he would concoct his next playful prank. His humor and mischievous nature left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
His relationship with his six grandchildren was special, filled with camping trips, four-wheeling adventures and unconditional love. Eddie's spirit of adventure and his willingness to embrace every moment with enthusiasm made him a cherished figure in their lives.
Eddie's adoration for Dottie was unwavering. Even in his final days, his pride in their love was evident. In the hospital, he would pull out his phone and show the doctors and nurses his background picture of them and say "That's my Dottie, That's my angel."
As we remember Eddie, we celebrate a man who lived fully, loved deeply and laughed often. His legacy is one of joy, family and an enduring love that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
