Daniel M. Burke, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Sunday morning, July 20, 2008. He was 39 years old.

Danny was born in Woburn. He was raised in Burlington and was a 1987 graduate of Shawsheen Tech in Billerica. Danny had worked for many years at L. A. Muran, which later became Office Depot. He was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing. He would take trips to locations such Loudon, NH and the Pocono's to watch the races. Danny had made three visits to Ireland, which was where his mother Bridget was born. He enjoyed following the local sports, listening to country music and being with his family and many good friends.

Danny is the beloved son of William J. of Burlington and the late Bridget (Murphy). He is the loving brother of Michael P. Burke & his wife Tetyana of Lowell, Bridget M. Burke of Burlington, Ann J. McElwain & her husband John of Billerica, Kerry F. Hadouche & her husband Mohand of N. Chelmsford, and the late William Burke. He is the uncle of John & Daniel McElwain. He is the fiancé of Julie Doherty of Natick and her daughter Rachel Doherty. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLNGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, July 23 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy's Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
