Daniel Leo Bouchie, a lithographer in the printing industry for 40 years, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023 from pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 80.  Dan was a member of the Burlington community and grew up in Malden.  He attended Malden High School and Boston University.  He served as an Army Medic in the National Guard at Ft. Sam Houston.

Dan was given a drum set as a teenager which ignited a passion for music that resonated throughout his life. He became an accomplished drummer and played with several jazz bands throughout Greater Boston for many years.

In 1991, Dan arrived at his friend's house party riding his Harley Davidson and quickly caught the attention of Phyllis Skliar. The two hit it off, dated and were married in 2004. Through the years, Dan kept riding his 1987 classic Harley everywhere from Nova Scotia to Florida. Together, both Dan and Phyllis often explored the backroads of New England on his stylish ride.

Dan was a social man with many passions.  He enjoyed talking to everyone he met and making them laugh.  His variety of interests included reading, gardening, music, fireworks, and watching Jeopardy with Phyllis where he would almost always know the correct answers. Dan also had a keen fascination with UFOs, and never lost his wanderlust.  He learned the joy of cooking from his grandmother who taught him Italian cooking from scratch. Dan was also often known as the GrillMaster, who smoked his famous brisket and ribs for friends and family.

Dan was the beloved husband to his wife Phyllis Skliar of Burlington. Together they lovingly cared for their cats Roxie, Kleo and Lola.  He was the dear brother to his sister Linda Tricca (Bouchie) and her husband Ray of Mashpee.  He was the caring uncle to his niece Michelle Tricca, nephew Andrew Tricca and his partner Svetty Dyulgerova and adored twin grandniece and grandnephew Niki and Ryan Tricca.
