Cynthia "Cindy" (Lavin) Harrington, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, at Lahey Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family after a brief illness.

Born in Redbank, New Jersey, she was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Judith (Robinson) Lavin. As a young girl, Cindy's family relocated several times for her father's career before settling in Burlington in 1960. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and went on to earn her Associate's Degree from Middlesex Community College. It was there that she met the love of her life, Kenneth Harrington. The couple married and made their home in Woburn, where they lovingly raised their three children and their menagerie of pets together and even stationed their antiques business, Red cape Antiques a nod to the family home. Cindy was an active member of the community for years volunteering with the PTO at the Hurld Elementary School, eventually serving as an officer.

Cindy possessed a spirited personality that endeared her to everyone she met. A true spitfire with a quick wit and a warm heart, she never shied away from a conversation and had a remarkable way of adding her own unique perspective and humor that left a lasting impression. She was fiercely devoted to those she loved and embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories with family and friends and furry friends.

With her husband Ken, Cindy enjoyed a wide variety of camping trips. A pastime they continued to enjoy for years to come with their children. She also loved vacationing in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey with her family, an opportunity to share a beloved location from her childhood family.

In 2012, Cindy returned to her hometown of Burlington with her family where she showcased her gardening skills creating beautiful flower gardens and vegetable patches she lovingly tended. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren wander through the garden, picking fresh vegetables to snack on while spending time with their grandmother.

Above all else, Cindy's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. They were truly the light of her life, and nothing brought her greater happiness than attending their activities, celebrating their accomplishments, and simply spending time together. Her unconditional love, unwavering encouragement, and endless pride in each of them will remain a lasting gift that they will carry with them always.

Cindy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Harrington.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Beth Rocco and her husband, Bob, of Tewksbury; her daughter Ariella Allison, and her husband, Eric, of Bolton; and her son, Bradley Harrington of Burlington; her cherished grandchildren, (late)Brody, Faith, Connor, and Mackenzie; her sister, Jennifer Lavin Howard of Kissimmee, Florida; her brother, Robert Lavin of Kissimmee, Florida; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
