Obituary

Bonnie Lee (Woodward) Koehler, 83 a recent resident of Burlington and devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 22.


Born and raised in Falmouth, the daughter of the late William and Marion (Trout) Grew, Bonnie's deep affinity for the ocean was evident throughout her life. She found solace and joy in the gentle lull of the waves and the warmth of the sun on sandy shores. Her passion for the beach was infectious, drawing friends and family to share in the beauty of coastal living.


Bonnie also shared a deep love for golf, often seen enjoying rounds with her beloved husband Joseph. Together, they crafted beautiful memories on the greens of White Cliff Country Club, their shared enthusiasm for the sport strengthening their bond.


As a respected member of the White Cliff community, Bonnie contributed to the club with her generous spirit and unwavering dedication. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.


Bonnie was employed for many years as a lab technician at the Wood Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole. Even with a full-time job, Bonnie was able to make a warm and loving home for her children.


She was predeceased by her beloved first husband Martin C. Woodward who passed away in 1997.


She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Joseph Koehler of Burlington, her cherished children, Timothy J. Woodward of Hollis, NH., Tammy Scott and her husband Bob Scott of Burlington, Christine Walter of Mechanicsburg, PA., her beloved step son, Christopher Koehler and his wife Carol of Scottsdale, AZ,  her siblings, William Grew, Gary Grew, Carole Lane, Marilyn Van Kleef, and Ronald Grew, nine adoring grandchildren, Benjamin Woodward, Julie Woodward, Kylie Scott, Martina Scott, Katherine Scott, Olivia Walter, Ethan Walter, Justin Koehler and his wife Gina, and Jessica Koehler as well as many nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her:


Memorial Service at The United Church of Christ First Trinitarian Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate, MA, Monday, June 17, at 11am. Her burial at Trinity Park Cemetery, directly behind the church, will be immediately following her memorial service.


In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to an organization of your choice that supports Alzheimers research.
