Obituary

Adam Jacob Appelbaum, 30, of Bedford, passed away tragically on Friday, April 10th, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the beloved son of Joel and Susan (Charnow) Appelbaum. Adam was raised in Bedford and was a proud graduate of Bedford High School. He went on to further his education at Union College in New York, where he earned his bachelor's degrees in Computer Science, Economics and German.

Adam pursued his passion for technology, building a successful career as an IT Engineer. Known for his remarkable skill and confidence, he was often called upon to solve the most complex technical challenges, frequently succeeding with ease, even early in his career. He had natural talent, determination, and a sharp mind.

Outside of his professional life, Adam lived with enthusiasm and creativity. He had a deep love for his car and motorcycle, taking great pride in customizing and personalizing each to reflect his unique style. A true hands-on individual, Adam was especially gifted mechanically and found joy in building his own computers and working with his hands.

Music was another of Adam's passions. He enjoyed playing guitar and continually worked to refine his sound, performing with his band, McKenna Overdrive. He also loved spending time outdoors, playing disc golf with friends during the warmer months and snowboarding in the winter. Adam had a vivid imagination and cherished time spent with his Dungeons & Dragons group, fully immersing himself in each campaign while also customizing and painting his collectibles.

Adam's interests were many, and whatever he pursued, he did so wholeheartedly. He had a contagious energy and a deep appreciation for the things he loved.

Above all else, Adam treasured time with his family. He was happiest at home, often found at the grill preparing one of his specialties, a perfectly cooked Delmonico steak or Australian Wagyu, always eager to share a meal not just with family, but with anyone who stopped by. His generosity, warmth, and welcoming spirit made every gathering special.

Adam also had a keen interest in staying on the cutting edge of technology, always making sure he had the latest and best devices to keep up with the ever-evolving world around him.

Adam loved to travel and he has been to many places all over the globe. He loved being Jewish and visited Israel twice - once on a Birthright trip and once with this dad, uncle and aunt.

He will be eternally loved by his parents, Joel and Susan Appelbaum of Bedford, his brother, David Appelbaum and his Fiancée Brianna Phipps of Nashua, NH., his niece, Priscilla Appelbaum and his adoring dog Luna, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
