||Marie Grace Ianetta-DiPietro, a devoted family person passed away surrounded by her 5 sons and their families on Saturday night, June 10, 2006. Marie was born and raised in East Boston. She was the daughter of the late Americo “Mike” and Bridget DiPietro. Prior to her children, she had worked for New England Telephone. She then chose to be a homemaker raising her five sons and making a home filled with love and laughter. In her later years she had worked as a receptionist for the Boston Company in Medford.
Marie had a wide variety of interests. Her hobbies included art, painting, and photography. She enjoyed taking and sharing her treasured photos of family and friends. She enjoyed classic movies, gardening, games on any kind, cooking baking, dancing, and exercising. She was always happiest when she surrounded by her sons, The Ianetta Boys”. She will be sadly missed by her sons, grandchildren, sisters, and many friends.
Marie is the loving mother of the Ianetta boys; Michael of Keene, NH, Rick of Keene, NH, Steven of Snohomish, WA, Gerald of Tewksbury, and David of NC. Loving grandmother of 9 grandsons; Matthew, Gerald, Tony, Kevin, Nicholas, Vinnie, Travis, Daniel & Joseph Ianetta and one granddaughter, Amy Ianetta. Mother-in-law of four wonderful daughter-in-laws; Marianne, Lindajean, Erica and Debbie Ianetta. Sister of Annette Flaherty of Saugus, Geri Sullivan of Lynn, and Camille DiPietro of Lakeville. Special aunt of Jerrilyn Gosselin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Williams Church, 135 Main St., Tewksbury on Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
